"помогите новичку" подскажите где можно почитать последовательность установки графической оболочки XFCE

В целях ознакомления и саморазвития поставил себе Gentoo установил ее и уже даже поставил X-сервер по это статье http://www.gentoo.org/doc/ru/xorg-config.xml
Теперь вот хочу установить оболочку XFCE, но не могу найти толкового пояснения именно по ней с тем как и что за чем делать.

Буду всем очень признателен за любую помощь в осознании данного продукта и этой задачи в целом.

попробовал сделать по приведенной ссылки на хэнд бук, вывалило кучу ошибок

Как заслуженный телепат, предлагаю переключиться на профиль desktop (см. Настольную книгу или eselect profile) и озаботиться настройкой USE-флагов вообще.
